This new financial contribution will enable Social Volunteering to continue addressing the basic needs of individuals and families experiencing vulnerability in the municipality. The association carries out ongoing work throughout the year, not only through the Food Bank but also by distributing clothing and providing companionship to the elderly and sick.
The support from La Fundación "la Caixa" represents a significant boost for work carried out at the local level. This effort is largely sustained by the dedication of a volunteer team comprising approximately 30 individuals of various ages and nationalities. Their work facilitates close and direct support, in addition to promoting awareness campaigns and actions to foster citizen solidarity.
The L'Alfàs del Pi City Council has highlighted the importance of combining collaborations between administrations, businesses, social entities, and citizens to strengthen the local support network. The constant dedication of Social Volunteering, and particularly the involvement of its members who ensure aid reaches those most in need, has been emphasized.
The association has expressed its gratitude for the trust placed by La Fundación "la Caixa", as well as for the collaboration received from individuals, entities, educational centers, international clubs, cultural and sports groups, businesses, and other local organizations. This network enables the Food Bank's operation and the expansion of its social initiatives.
With this new injection of 6,000 euros, La Fundación "la Caixa" reaffirms its commitment to local social initiatives and to organizations working directly on the ground, contributing to the continuity of an essential service for vulnerable individuals in L'Alfàs del Pi.
