The Villajoyosa City Council approved on September 17, 2026, the start of the proceedings to modify the municipality's catalog of protected assets and spaces.

The main agreement focuses on the inclusion of file 119-BRL Villa Moura, an element now being incorporated into the heritage protection process. This proposal has been submitted for public information to ensure transparency and citizen participation in the management of local heritage.
The public exhibition period will last for 45 business days. During this time, any interested party may consult the technical documentation through the official website of the council or in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana, where the corresponding announcements will be published to submit any relevant allegations.
In parallel, the council has requested the mandatory reports from the affected sectoral administrations, as required by current urban planning regulations. Likewise, information has been requested from basic service providers—such as water, electricity, gas, and telecommunications—to assess the technical conditions necessary for future interventions in the urban area.
