Councilor Ana Alcázar will meet with residents of the district covering the area from Varadero Avenue to the N-332 and the Port road, in the Costera Pastor-Barberes Sud neighborhood. This initiative, created in 2023, aims for direct and participatory dialogue with citizens.
The Neighborhood Ombudsman program was launched to provide more personalized attention to each area of the municipality. The city has been divided into nine zones to facilitate the supervision of public services and the management of residents' needs. Citizens also have a digital application and an email for reporting issues.
Other councilors also assume responsibilities in different areas: Peyo Lloret covers the zone from the AP-7 to Orxeta and from the Finestrat road to El Campello, including the reservoir area. Carlos Soler is the ombudsman for La Ermita de San Antonio and the area between the AP-7 and the N-332. Pedro Ramis is responsible for the area from Pelayo street to El Campello, including Xarco, Montíboli, Paradís, and Poble Nou, as well as the beachfront. Paco Pérez manages the zone between the N-332 and Los Estudiantes beach, and Jaime Santamaría, from the Torres river to La Cala.
Meanwhile, Marisa Mingot is the ombudsman for the area between Pianista Lozano Avenue and the Cemetery road. Maite Sánchez covers the urban center, Pati Fosc, Horta, La Torreta, and the Mitjanet district. Finally, Rosa Llorca is the ombudsman for the historic center and the Centro beach.
These periodic meetings with the neighborhood ombudsmen aim to address the daily issues affecting residents in each area.
