Xàbia City Council has launched a prevention plan following the declaration of level 3 pre-emergency for forest fire risk across the entire Comunitat Valenciana.

The Generalitat Valenciana has established this risk level from today, July 6, until next Thursday, July 9. As a result, the Local Police have begun restricting access to paths and forest areas, including the closure of the Montgó Natural Park.
The measures adopted include the suspension of any sports activity in natural spaces, as well as a total ban on lighting fires and the suspension of work in forest lands or nearby areas. The goal of these restrictions is to minimize the possibility of fires in a context of very high temperatures.
The council has convened a meeting of the CECOPAL to coordinate emergency services and assess the situation. At the same time, a list of recommendations for citizens has been released, including avoiding direct sun exposure during peak hours, keeping homes ventilated, and taking extra care with vulnerable groups.
