A 21-year-old woman from Luxembourg has been critically injured, possibly losing a leg, in a violent traffic accident on the AP-7 near the Ondara exit. Her father, who was driving the vehicle, also sustained serious injuries.

The incident occurred when one of the two vehicles involved, according to initial reports, allegedly veered into the oncoming lane. The head-on collision caused both cars to overturn several times. A family from Luxembourg, returning home after their holidays, was in one of the vehicles, while the other car was driven by a resident of Pedreguer.
Emergency services, including firefighters, Civil Guard officers, and Local Police, as well as SAMU and SVB ambulances, quickly arrived at the scene. Firefighters had to extricate trapped occupants. The young Luxembourger, in addition to her severe injuries, was initially evacuated to the hospital in Dénia and later transferred by helicopter to a hospital in Valencia.
The driver from Pedreguer suffered minor injuries. The Civil Guard has launched an investigation to determine the exact causes of the crash. This tragic event occurs amidst a particularly grim summer on the roads of La Marina Alta, with several fatal accidents recently on similar stretches of the AP-7 and N-332.
