A patrol from the Local Police quickly arrived at the scene. Their efforts were bolstered by the immediate collaboration of healthcare personnel who were vacationing in the area. Together, they initiated resuscitation maneuvers and used a defibrillator (AED).
Subsequently, personnel from Cruz Roja (Red Cross) and the SAMU (emergency medical service) joined the operation. Thanks to the coordination among all teams, they managed to restore the runner's vital signs. He was eventually airlifted by medical helicopter to the Hospital de Alicante.
