The Salvamar Fénix, a Maritime Rescue vessel based in Xàbia, towed a small recreational boat that had broken down off the coast of Ambolo, leaving its occupants stranded at sea.

The Salvamar Fénix vessel, based at the port of Xàbia, was dispatched this midday to the coast of Ambolo to assist a recreational boat experiencing a breakdown. The occupants of the disabled vessel were left stranded at sea and had to be towed back to the port of Xàbia.
The boat was located off the cove of Ambolo and near l'Illa del Descobridor, a rugged stretch of coastline. An engine failure at sea poses a significant problem for boaters, as the vessel can be left adrift if they lack the expertise to manage the situation.
These types of services are frequent along this coast, considered to have the highest nautical pressure in the Valencian Community. In recent days, the Salvamar Fénix has already intervened in the rescue of several vessels, including assisting the stranded occupants of a motorboat that sank off the coast of la Falzia and Cap Negre, and freeing a sailboat that ran aground in the "freu" of Portitxol.
