The town of Pego is preparing to host ‘L’Últim Aquelarre’ on October 11th, the farewell concert of La Gossa Sorda's 'A Tornallom' tour. Between 15,000 and 20,000 people are expected, nearly doubling the town's usual population. In light of this forecast, a security meeting was held at the City Council to plan and coordinate the necessary actions.
Representatives from various administrations and security forces attended the meeting, including the Government Sub-delegate in Alicante, Manuel Pineda Cuenca; the Director General of Public Security, Erich Vanacloig Gil; the Lieutenant Colonel Chief of Operations for the Civil Guard command in Alicante, Antonio Darder Colom; the Head of the Calpe Company, Borja Fernández Flores; the Chief Operational Inspector of the Regional Police, José Antonio Fernández de la Dueña; the Head of Local Police in Pego, Santiago Montero, as well as heads of the Health Center and council members from Pego City Council. The primary objective was to ensure the safety of attendees and residents.
The mayor of Pego, Enrique Moll, announced that police presence will be increased at the entrances and exits of the town and along the route to the concert venue, located in the Industrial Estate. The arrival of an estimated 6,000 to 8,000 private vehicles is also anticipated, potentially leading to a deficit of 2,000 to 3,000 parking spaces. The mayor apologized in advance for any inconvenience this may cause to residents.
The security plan will include private security personnel in areas such as the Health Center. The planned deployment will be similar to that of a Carnival night, and additional surveillance has been requested around the town to prevent an increase in burglaries during the event. The mayor described the meeting as 'productive' and noted that police representatives congratulated the City Council for its willingness to collaborate and for the plans developed.

The mayor stated that this will be a historic day not only for Pego but also for Valencian music and the Marina Alta region.
