This adverse weather pattern spread from the inland areas of the region, with torrential rain episodes in l'Atzúvia, la Vall de Laguar, and Parcent. The downpours, though uneven, also affected enclaves like Gata or Pego, while strong winds battered the coastal areas. Beaches and swimming pools were left desolate, and beach bars had to close.
The entire region was enveloped by the sound of thunder and intense electrical activity. The thermometer also saw a notable drop after days of relentless heat.
Wind gusts followed a similar pattern, moving from inland towards the coast. Early in the afternoon, speeds of 92 km/h were recorded in Castell de Castells and la Vall de Laguar, 80 km/h in Benigembla, and over 76 km/h in Alcalalí. By 7:30 PM, these figures were surpassed on the coast, with readings of up to 127 km/h in Benitatxell, 117 km/h in Calp, and 100 km/h in the port of Xàbia.
