The Second Vice Presidency and Ministry of Presidency has published, through the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV), the list of 59 beneficiary intermunicipal associations receiving aid totaling 300,000 euros. These subsidies are intended to cover the operational and current expenses of these entities throughout 2026.
The Consell's objective is to promote municipal associationism, as it allows certain services to be provided more efficiently and with higher quality when shared among several municipalities. The associations receiving these grants also commit to operating as modern and transparent administrations, demanding fair trade criteria and energy and environmental sustainability requirements in their procurement.
The aid can be used for a variety of current expenses, including rent, repairs, maintenance, office and IT supplies, utilities such as electricity, water, or gas, communications, outsourced services, contracting of shared municipal services, as well as conducting studies and technical work by external companies.
Among the beneficiary associations are the Riu Millars Association, the Social and Cultural Services Association of Marina Baixa, the Association of Municipalities of Safor, the Intermunicipal Association of Alcàntera de Xúquer, Càrcer, Cotes, and Sellent, the Taula del Sénia Association, La Bonaigua, the Intermunicipal Association of the Vall del Vinalopó, the Valldigna Association, and the Regional Association of Marina Alta. The complete list includes numerous entities from various Valencian regions.
