A recreational boat has run aground on the rocks of Cala Blanca in Xàbia due to the uneven seabed. The Salvamar Fénix responded to the rescue and towed the vessel to the Fontana channel.

A recreational boat has run aground on the rocks of Cala Blanca, a stretch of coastline in Xàbia near Cala del Francés and Cala de la Sardinera. The incident occurs during a summer marked by high nautical traffic and inexperienced sailors.
According to reports, the boaters may have strayed too close to the cliff, not taking into account the highly irregular rocky seabed in this area. The boat hit the bottom and became stranded.
The Salvamar Fénix, a Maritime Rescue vessel based in the Xàbia port and mobilized by the Valencia Rescue Coordination Center (CCS), attended the scene. Rescuers first confirmed the well-being of the crew before freeing the vessel from the rocks.
The boat was eventually towed to the Fontana channel, the marina located in El Arenal. This incident adds to the long list of breakdowns and shipwrecks occurring along the Xàbia coast this summer.
