A delegation from Benissa, led by Adrián Cabrera and Virginia Pérez, is traveling to Brussels from October 12th to 14th to participate in the European Week of Regions and Cities 2026.

The main objective of the participation is to showcase the project «One Health 4 Cities: Benissa és Salut» on Tuesday, October 13th, at the Jacques Delors building. This initiative, developed within the URBACT network, promotes a comprehensive vision of urban health, connecting citizen well-being with the environment and urban planning.
The delegation, which also includes technician Maite Escrivà, will use the stay to establish institutional contacts and learn about European priorities for the upcoming financial framework 2028-2034, particularly in areas such as sustainable urban development and innovation.
This meeting aims to position Benissa on the European stage, facilitating its involvement in future community programs and strengthening relationships with representatives linked to regional development.
Adrián Cabrera, First Deputy Mayor, has highlighted the importance of the Brussels presence to showcase the municipality's work and anticipate European opportunities, especially in the areas of health, sustainability, tourism, and urban environment improvement.
The visit is part of a grant call from the Generalitat Valenciana for participation in European projects, seeking to capitalize on results and generate new alliances for the municipality's development.
