The Benissa City Council held a new session for the project «Benissa Cuida: from diagnosis to action», linked to stage III of XarxaSalut. The objective was to advance a shared diagnosis on the municipality's health and well-being. The meeting, held at the Centre d’Excel·lència, gathered 19 people.
Participants evaluated eight lines of work identified in the previous participatory process, considering their importance and the feasibility of addressing them from the municipal and community level. The coordination between municipal areas, services, and associations, along with the promotion of community participation, topped the joint classification.
Also highlighted were accessibility and autonomy in daily life; care, aging, and support networks; and safety and healthy use of public spaces. Access to affordable housing was considered the most important need, although also one of the most difficult to address locally.
It was recalled that the results reflect the contributions of the participants and do not constitute a representative survey. The importance of incorporating the perspective of youth and other groups was emphasized.
This session completes the year's participatory process, which includes the citizen activity «Entorns de vida» (July 8) and the contrast session with the Intersectoral Council (September 21). The priorities will be incorporated into the community health diagnosis.
This prioritization establishes a shared basis for guiding future planning towards a healthier, more accessible, and inclusive municipality. The Benissa City Council thanks the involvement of all individuals, entities, and professionals who have contributed to the «Benissa Cuida» project.
This project has received public health funding from the Conselleria de Sanitat for the year 2026.
