The renovation works for Carrer Major and the Plaça del Santuari de la Mare de Déu de la Salut in Xirivella were completed and received on September 25th. These actions aim to restore one of the town's most emblematic areas, making it a meeting point for residents.
Carrer Major now features new cobblestone pavement, an accessible environment, and has been equipped with new urban furniture including benches, bins, trees, and planters, harmoniously integrated with its historic character.
Meanwhile, the Plaça del Santuari has also had its pavement renewed. Additionally, a new access ramp to the sanctuary has been installed, urban furniture has been expanded, and a monolith has been placed to highlight the monument's value.
The project, directed by architect Elisabeth Quintana, involved an investment of 518,304.81 euros, funded by the Open Investment Plan of the València Provincial Council.
The goal of these works is to transform the heart of the neighborhoods, preserving historical sites and making public spaces more people-centric.
