The collaboration between the Sedaví City Council, Action Against Hunger, and the Official College of Psychology of the Valencian Community has enabled the organization of a series of activities targeting both the elderly population and those who care for them.
The first session, titled “Resources, Activities, and Best Practices for Active and Healthy Aging,” will take place on September 25th at 11:30 AM at the Casal Jove de Sedaví (San Vicente street, 60). The aim is to provide useful information to promote active aging and raise awareness of available resources.
Additionally, the “Caring for the Caregiver” workshop has been developed, a series of 10 free sessions specifically designed for caregivers of the elderly. These workshops will be held at the Juzgado de Paz Hall (Valencia street, 32) between October 2026 and February 2027, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The workshops will cover key topics such as understanding illness, available resources, basic hygiene and care, nutrition, communication in complex situations, emotional management, and self-care. The schedule includes sessions like “Caring for Our Minds” (January 12, 2027) and “Setting Boundaries” (February 9, 2027).
