During a working meeting held this morning, the local council outlined the priority needs to ensure progress on pending actions. Among the main demands is the urgent need to reinforce municipal staff, who are currently handling a heavy workload due to the management of numerous files and projects linked to the recovery.
To address this shortage, the municipality has proposed that the regional administration facilitate access to its job banks or launch a specific employment plan. According to the local government, the capacity of town councils to increase staff with the speed required by this extraordinary situation is limited.
Furthermore, the need to set up temporary parking on plots ceded by the Generalitat to reduce traffic during construction works was addressed. The council also insisted on launching a structural inspection program for buildings affected by the flood, aiming to preventively detect potential issues that may arise in the medium term.
