The municipal corporation has accepted an additional 6,326,554.64 euros in investment, bringing the total project cost to 13,378,746.22 euros. This decision allows for the advancement of the new educational center's processing, aligning the budget with the project's current needs.
The project includes the demolition of the existing building and the creation of a modern, accessible school facility better equipped to handle potential flooding. The location will remain the same, in the urban center, facilitating proximity for families.
The delegation of powers, initially approved in December 2020 with 7,052,191.58 euros, has been updated to address rising construction costs. The finalized project incorporates new technical and safety solutions, such as raising the ground floor by 70 centimeters and positioning the sports court at a height of four meters, which will also serve as a safe evacuation area.
The design for the new center, spanning nearly 6,000 square meters, includes advanced drainage systems and a space beneath the building engineered to manage water accumulation during intense rainfall. During construction, educational activities will be relocated to provisional classrooms on a nearby municipal plot.

Since 2023, the City Council has overseen the contracting of technical assistance for project drafting and future works supervision. This process has enabled the finalization of the execution project and the incorporation of improvements tailored to the center's needs and informed by the experience of the October 29, 2024, DANA event.
