The Catarroja City Council has begun the restoration of three historically significant documents affected by the DANA on October 29, 2024, which will be handled by the Valencian Institute for Conservation, Restoration, and Research (IVCR+i).

Among the items to undergo restoration is the Account Book from 1652, a key piece for local historiography, along with a census of inhabitants from 1945 and a Municipal Cemetery register from the 1950s. These documentary testimonies will help reconstruct different stages of Catarroja's life and evolution.
Restoration work will include mechanical cleaning, removal of surface deposits, stabilization and disinfection of deteriorated parts, and targeted page reintegration, among other specialized procedures.
The DANA on October 29, 2024, caused significant damage to the Municipal Archive facilities, but a substantial portion of the Historical Archive's holdings were saved from the water and mud.
