The council has informed the public about self-protection measures for rain and storm alerts, including advice for floods, such as checking downspouts, protecting documents and valuables, and disconnecting utilities in case of evacuation. It is also advised to avoid flood-prone areas, riverbanks, and ravines, and to use vehicles only if absolutely necessary.
In case of thunderstorms, it is recommended to avoid high places, open fields, and inadequate shelters like trees or large rocks. Staying in water or small boats is discouraged, as is proximity to metal objects. A closed car is considered a good shelter, and at home, people are asked to close doors and windows and disconnect electrical appliances.
In case of emergency, call 112. The public is asked to maintain contact with elderly or dependent neighbors and to report any incidents to the Local Police (963 96 47 47).
