A total of 55 young people from Alaquàs and l'Alfàs del Pi participated on Sunday, October 11th, in the 'Beyond borders' training event, organized by their respective town councils to promote European opportunities.

The joint initiative by the town councils of Alaquàs and l'Alfàs del Pi, named "Beyond borders", brought together 55 young people from both municipalities last Sunday, October 11th. The main objective of the event was to introduce young people to European programs such as Erasmus Plus and the European Solidarity Corps, as well as the various mobility, training, volunteering, and participation opportunities offered by the European Union.
The gathering, aimed at individuals aged 16 to 29, combined informative and orientation sessions with leisure and participation activities. This event is part of the European campaign Time to Move 2026.
The session began in the morning with beach-based dynamics, led by the Platform for Volunteering of the Valencian Community (CV), for the participating youth groups. After lunch, the training focused on more specific aspects. The main speaker was Pepe Moreno, a trainer and evaluator for the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) and the Spanish National Agency for Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps.
Additionally, a panel of experiences featured young people who have participated in programs such as those organized by the association De Amicitia, work camps, the European Solidarity Corps, and youth exchanges, sharing their personal journeys.
The youth department of Alaquàs is part of the international youth information network Eurodesk, which has 60 offices across Spain. Every year, during October, this network celebrates the Time to move campaign, dedicated to informing and disseminating the international mobility opportunities that the EU offers its young people in areas such as studies, training, employment, and civic participation.
