The Paterna City Council has initiated the South Ring Road works, a strategic infrastructure that will improve urban mobility and connectivity, as well as expand parking spaces and public areas.

The project, tendered for over 3 million euros and with a ten-month execution period, includes the adaptation of a green area and the opening of an access road from Ernesto Ferrando street.
The Mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo, visited the works and highlighted that "the South Ring Road works are finally beginning, a long-awaited project that will allow us to improve our city's mobility, with a new connection to enter via Santa Rita and exit via Campamento".
The commencement of this intervention follows expropriations, technical project adjustments, and necessary negotiations with Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana and the Real Acequia de Moncada.
The South Ring Road will run parallel to the metro lines, offering an alternative for urban travel. Alongside this connectivity improvement, the project also includes the creation of 100 parking spaces, new green areas, and the enhancement of the playground near Paterna station.
In this regard, Sagredo emphasized that "we continue to invest in improving Paterna, with actions that facilitate the daily lives of our residents and allow us to enjoy a better-connected city with improved public spaces".
