The Paterna City Council has increased its investment in sports grants this year to 500,000 euros, a record figure that will cover 100% of applications meeting the established requirements.

This measure represents a 35% increase compared to 2025 and aims to facilitate access to sports and support the economy of local families. This investment ensures that no individual meeting the required conditions will be left without their grant.
The Deputy Mayor for Education, José Manuel Mora, highlighted that “this record number of grants translates into more support for our families and more opportunities to practice sports. We continue to allocate municipal resources to measures that improve the lives of our residents and help them manage their daily expenses”.
Mora emphasized that “with these grants, we contribute to more people enjoying the benefits of sports and maintaining an activity that promotes both their health and well-being”. The municipal contribution of half a million euros consolidates these grants as a tool for family support and fosters values such as effort, camaraderie, and respect.
"For many families, participating in sports represents a financial strain that adds to other household expenses. From the City Council, we want to support them and make it easier for sports to remain a part of their daily lives," he added.
With the awarding of 2,175 grants, Paterna reinforces its policies of family support and its commitment to sports as a space for coexistence, personal development, and equal opportunities.
