This new circuit joins the existing ones in the neighborhoods of Bovalar and Lloma Llarga, aiming to bring sports and leisure activities closer to more families and young people in a healthy environment. The facility, now open to the public, covers an area of over 300 square meters in the Jardines Maestres, between Ares del Maestrat and El Puig streets.
The circuit is harmoniously integrated into the existing garden areas, children's playground, and pedestrian paths, enhancing the enjoyment of this public space. The Mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo, highlighted the municipal investment to improve the city with new facilities that increase leisure and sports opportunities, enhancing residents' quality of life.
Sagredo pointed out that this new pump track offers a space for fun, sports practice, and family enjoyment, while continuing to improve the city's parks and meeting points. The design is primarily intended for children up to 12 years old, featuring an introductory layout with banked turns and small inclines, promoting balance, coordination, and cycling skills from an early age.
The track has a fully asphalted surface and a non-slip synthetic coating for continuous rolling. It includes signage for access and circulation direction, as well as an information board on usage rules and recommended protective gear. The project has aimed to preserve vegetation and maintain the continuity of pedestrian routes, with visual and functional separation from play and rest areas to foster coexistence.
The construction of this pump track is part of a broader municipal initiative that includes the creation of more circuits in other neighborhoods, with the goal of providing the city with local facilities that combine sport, learning, and fun, promoting healthy habits and new community spaces for young people.
