Civil Protection personnel from La Pobla de Farnals traveled to Oliva to assist in response efforts following the floods caused by DANA Adam, addressing citizen requests and supporting the Advanced Command Post.

Civil Protection from La Pobla de Farnals recently traveled to Oliva to join the response efforts for the floods caused by DANA Adam, following a request from the municipality's Civil Protection head. The first intervention occurred last Tuesday, when personnel deployed with a water extraction pump provided by the Town Hall of La Pobla de Farnals. During the day, they participated in draining garages and elevator shafts affected by water ingress, and also assisted residents experiencing anxiety or particular difficulties in their homes.
The group expressed gratitude for the collaboration of the Mayor's Office, the Department of Volunteering, and the Public Works Brigade of La Pobla de Farnals for facilitating the necessary municipal resources to intervene in Oliva.
On Wednesday, at the request of the Civil Protection management of Oliva, volunteers from La Pobla de Farnals provided support at the Advanced Command Post (ACP), assisting in the organization of deployed human resources and managing citizen requests. Needs addressed included alerts related to vulnerable individuals, trips to collect medication from pharmacies, and distribution of food and basic necessities. Personnel from La Pobla de Farnals also remained overnight to maintain support for the operation.
The collaboration continued through Thursday, with organizational tasks at the ACP and the deployment of various groups to Oliva based on identified needs. The operation involved Civil Protection groups from Torrent, Xeraco, Cullera, Tavernes Blanques, Moncada, Tavernes de la Valldigna, Puçol, Catarroja, Paiporta, Carcaixent, Almussafes, and Xirivella, in addition to the teams from La Pobla de Farnals and, of course, Oliva.
Work primarily focused on new water extraction requests, particularly in beach areas, as well as addressing other alerts relayed to the operation. Collaboration also extended to actions within the educational sector to facilitate the resumption of classes at the affected institute.
Civil Protection of La Pobla de Farnals has thanked the reception and coordination of the operation organized in Oliva, as well as the joint work of the various groups mobilized during the emergency. The group maintains its availability to continue collaborating as long as necessary and to offer its resources and experience to other Civil Protection devices when the situation requires it.
