The House of Culture in Burjassot has reopened its doors after the summer works with a new look to offer a better service to the citizens. The exhibition program resumes this September with a display by sculptor Joan Miquel Agulló Cortina, a local resident.
The exhibition, titled Recycled Iron. Sculptures of a new cycle, will open on September 21 at 7:00 PM and can be visited until October 2 during the usual opening hours of the House of Culture (from 8:00 AM to 8:45 PM). The works are made entirely from recycled iron, giving a second life to disused materials.
As Joan Miquel himself explained, the exhibition project stems from his love for art and nature, establishing a dialogue between the functional past of the objects and their new identity as works of art. The artist, now retired, transforms iron parts and other metals into surprising artistic creations.
As a gesture of solidarity, on Thursday, October 1, during the exhibition, an event will be held at 7:00 PM in favor of the Burjassot Animal Protection Society (SPAB).
