The agreement, signed by the rector of the Universitat de València and the mayor of Burjassot, aims primarily to support research, training, and knowledge transfer regarding the writer's figure and work. The project has municipal funding of 30,000 euros per year and an initial duration of four years.
The chair will be directed by a professor from the Department of Language and Literature Didactics, who will coordinate the various lines of work. Planned activities include support for doctoral theses, undergraduate and master's degree projects, as well as the organization of exhibitions, conferences, and outreach workshops in local schools.
During the signing ceremony, institutional representatives highlighted the importance of this collaboration in strengthening ties between the academic institution and the poet's hometown. The chair is intended as a meeting space between the university, the educational system, and society as a whole to ensure the permanent dissemination of Estellés' work.
