The Plenary of the Burjassot City Council has unanimously approved a motion urging the Ministry of Environment, Infrastructure, and Territory and FGV to install shelters at the municipality's metro, tram, and bus stops.

The motion, presented by Compromís and with amendments from PSPV-PSOE and PP, calls for the urgent design and execution of these installations. The aim is to ensure the comfort and protection of citizens using public transport, especially against high summer temperatures.
In addition to permanent shelters, the Ministry of Environment, Infrastructure, and Territory is asked to provisionally and immediately install temporary sunshade or awning systems for upcoming summer campaigns while the definitive works are processed.
The decision approved in the plenary will be forwarded to the General Management of FGV, the Ministry responsible for Transport, and the affected neighborhood associations of Burjassot.
