In the 1950s, around 1,500 women worked at the Foios Jutera. At just 14 years old, they walked from towns in L'Horta Nord to help their families.
To mark the Jutera's centenary, an event has been organized to recover the memory of these women who, with their effort and bravery, sustained a vital industry for the L'Horta Nord region.
A woman from Almàssera has shared her experiences to help keep this history alive.
The event will take place on September 26, 2026. The departure from Almàssera will be at 10:15 AM from the metro station, with a route that includes a metro journey to Foios.
