The artistic intervention in Foios highlights this historic space, offering a perspective on the importance of water for the region and its agricultural production. The festival, inaugurated on Friday, October 16th, in Alfara del Patriarca, includes nine installations spread across Foios, Alfara del Patriarca, Bonrepòs i Mirambell, and Vinalesa.
The artistic proposals, on display until November 1st, invite visitors to rediscover the 'horta' (orchard/farmland) through the lens of design, contemporary art, and sustainability, under the slogan «Conscious Generation, Connecting with the Land». The festival combines ephemeral installations with activities such as guided bicycle tours, workshops, and gastronomic experiences.
The interventions are divided into two lines: Miradors PRO, featuring professional proposals from studios like Basurama, BIJ Arquitectos, and Ordinari + Amiguis; and Miradors LAB, showcasing projects by students from institutions such as CEU Cardenal Herrera, Universitat Politècnica de València, and art schools, mentored by various design studios.
Promoted by Turisme Carraixet and the participating town councils, the festival aims to strengthen the bond between citizens and the territory, raising awareness of agricultural activity and championing the role of those who keep the 'horta' alive. The mayor of Foios and head of Tourism for the Mancomunitat del Carraixet, Sergi Ruiz, emphasized the value of this alliance in showcasing the region from a sustainable and environmentally respectful perspective.
