The educational center in Foios is one of 110 Early Childhood and Primary Education centers joining the program this year, out of over 230 applications received. In total, this edition will directly benefit 41,661 children.
Through Escuelas Visuales, teachers at CEIP Rei en Jaume will receive specialized training, individualized support, and practical resources to integrate visual aids into their daily teaching. These strategies help facilitate understanding, improve familiarity with routines, foster autonomy, and encourage participation from all students, acknowledging classroom diversity.
The program, founded by Miriam Reyes and supported by the Fundación Orange, is based on principles of neurodevelopment and universal design for learning. According to program data, 3,839 teachers are committed to an education that values diversity, and throughout its history, it has involved 8,800 educators and benefited over 100,000 children.
The initiative also offers free online training for teaching staff via Orange Digital Center, with the MOOC 'Escuelas Visuales, visual tools for educational inclusion'. This year, the program is expanding for the first time to Latin America, incorporating educational centers from Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico.
With this inclusion, CEIP Rei en Jaume continues to advance in implementing resources to build a more accessible school, where all children have greater opportunities to understand, learn, and participate.
