The Provincial Council of Valencia, through L'ETNO — Valencian Museum of Ethnology, has opened the submission period for the XV J. F. Mira Research Award, which closes on December 31, 2026.

This award aims to promote research, study, and dissemination of sociocultural anthropology, with a preference for works focused on the Valencian Community.
All researchers are eligible to participate, provided they have not won in previous editions. Works must be unpublished, written in Valencian or Castilian Spanish, and must not have won other awards. A PDF copy must be submitted, preserving anonymity.
Originals should be between 150 and 200 pages long, including footnotes and bibliography. The format must be Times New Roman 12pt, DIN-A4 size, and 1.5 line spacing. Content can cover any topic from an anthropological perspective.
Submissions must be sent before December 31, 2026, using a pseudonym, to the email address avantrop@yahoo.es. An attached document must include the inscription “XV Premio de Investigación J. F. Mira”, the title of the work, and the pseudonym, along with the author's name, address, phone number, and a brief curriculum vitae.
The award includes a prize of 2,000 euros and the publication of the winning work in the Intercanvis collection of L’ETNO, Valencian Museum of Ethnology. The awardee will receive 10 copies and a certificate.
The Valencian Anthropology Association will appoint the judging panel, whose decisions will be final. The jury will announce its verdict in the second half of January 2027 and may declare the award void if no submitted work meets the required standards. Participation implies full acceptance of the rules.
