Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has completed the replacement of seats on the 62 metro units operating on Metrovalencia lines, improving accessibility and cleanliness conditions.

The new plastic-made equipment is more ergonomic than the previous ones and has been designed in two colors, grey and blue, to differentiate general use from reserved seating. This initiative enhances unit accessibility by increasing the number of reserved spots.
The aim of this change is to achieve more effective cleaning, as the previous fabric covering was much more difficult to treat and maintain, and re-upholstering is no longer necessary.
This change had already been completed on the TRAM d'Alacant network and on Metrovalencia's trams. In total, the renovation affects over 10,000 seats. Of these, approximately 7,500 are for the 62 metros currently operating on Metrovalencia; 1,848 for the 44 trams in the 4200 series used on both the Valencia and Alicante networks; and 828 for the 9 tram-trains of TRAM d'Alacant.
The combined budget for these seat renovation works in Valencia and Alicante is close to 900,000 euros, including VAT.
