València's City Hall Square hosted the finish line for the final event of the sporting calendar, the 16th Falles Fun Run. The event concluded the 21st Caixa Popular Valencia City Races Circuit, with a total of 5,780 runners crossing the finish line located beneath the municipal balcony, an iconic spot for the city's Fallas community.
Organized by the Municipal Sports Foundation and the Central Fallas Board, this was the eighth and final race of the Circuit. The Fallas Queen of Valencia, Carmen Prades, accompanied by her court of honor, the Councilor for Sports of the València City Council, Rocío Gil, and Vicente Casanova, representing the Mira’m Foundation, started the race.
The race took place through emblematic areas of the capital, covering five kilometers from Marqués de Sotelo to City Hall Square, passing through Xàtiva, Guillem de Castro, IVAM, Blanqueries, Pau, and Sant Vicent streets.
The winners of the final race of the circuit were Borja Añón, with a time of 14:51, and María Valero, with 16:57, both belonging to C.D. Metasport.
The 21st Caixa Popular Valencia City Races Circuit concludes another season with eight established events on the city's sports calendar. This year, the Circuit has covered the city's districts and neighborhoods through races such as the 27th Galápagos Popular Race, 11th Never Stop Running Race ‘Mai et rendeixis’, 7th Fun Run for Disability ‘City of València’, 11th José Antonio Redolat Race, 8th Marta Fernández de Castro Race, and the 7th Runners City of València Fun Run.
