The Foundation for Research of the Valencia General Hospital actively participated in the European Researchers' Night, organizing interactive workshops in Picanya and the Viveros Gardens of Valencia to promote biomedical research.

With the aim of bringing science closer to students and the public, the Foundation offered practical activities such as identifying tumor cells, checking sugar content in consumer products, and understanding blood pressure.
In Picanya, the Gynecology Research Group presented the workshop "Suspicious Cells: Choose the Treatment," aimed at Primary and Secondary school students. Participants simulated being researchers to recognize tumor cells and decide on therapeutic strategies, learning about oncological research and personalized medicine.
This activity was part of the European project inHos, coordinated by the La Fe Health Research Institute (IIS La Fe), which seeks to enhance dialogue between science and society.
In the Viveros Gardens of Valencia, the Foundation co-organized workshops on nutrition and cardiovascular health. Through "Nutritional Traffic Light," participants visually assessed the sugar content in common products, while "The Labyrinth of Arteries" explained blood flow and blood pressure.
Additionally, the Biobank of the Valencia General Hospital collaborated with Fisabio to explain the role of biobanks in biomedical research.
This year's European Researchers' Night was organized by various institutions, including INCLIVA, Fisabio, the University of Valencia, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the Catholic University of Valencia, the CSIC, the Foundation of the General Hospital, and the Valencian Institute of Agricultural Research (IVIA).
