The Generalitat Valenciana, through the Director General of Industry, Julio Delgado, has emphasized the importance of collaboration between administration, universities, and businesses to facilitate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital technologies in the region's industry.

During the closing of the ‘Retos IATecUV’ conference, focused on AI and digital enabling technologies, Delgado highlighted that cooperation among these agents connects university research, the development of technological solutions, and the specific needs of companies. He explained that AI and digital technologies are crucial for improving production processes, reducing costs, optimizing decision-making, and increasing competitiveness.
One of the main challenges, he noted, is to ensure broader access to these tools for as many companies as possible, particularly SMEs. In this regard, Delgado underscored the role of technological institutes as a bridge between scientific knowledge and industry, helping to adapt technological advancements to the real needs of the business community.
The IAtecUV initiative, driven by the Universitat de València and the Fundació Parc Científic, was mentioned. It facilitates connections between researchers, entrepreneurs, startups, and established companies to develop ideas and transform them into viable projects. This initiative offers specialized support, technological development assistance, and networking opportunities with companies and investors.
Finally, the Director General indicated that the Generalitat is also integrating artificial intelligence and data analysis tools to improve its management, streamline the processing of aid applications, and enhance its relationship with businesses.
