Nearly 450 athletes aged between 8 and 17 will participate in the Valencia Municipal Individual School Cross, taking place this Saturday, October 24th, at the Turia Stadium.

The competition, starting at 10:15 AM, will kick off the municipal school cross-country season, bringing together students from clubs and educational centers in the city and other municipalities in the province. The event is part of the 2026 Municipal Individual Cross-Country Championship.
The program includes races for the youth, cadet, infantil, alevín, and benjamín categories, with distances ranging from 800 meters to 3,250 meters. The event will allow participants to compete for medals awarded to the top finishers in each category.
The Municipal School Cross is organized by the Valencian Community Athletics Federation in collaboration with the Municipal Sports Foundation of Valencia, as part of the Municipal Sports Games program.
The school cross-country season will continue on October 31st with the team competition, also at the Turia Stadium, featuring the same program of categories and distances. Both events are expected to attract around 700 participants.
With these two events, Valencia aims to boost participation in school athletics among children and young people, fostering physical activity, camaraderie, and the values associated with sports.
