The program returns to the Patraix neighborhood, last visited in 2023, transforming the square into a multi-sport stadium with areas for children, youth, and adults.
The Councilor for Sports, Rocío Gil, highlighted the program's return after the summer and encouraged citizens to discover the wide variety of sports disciplines offered by the city's associative fabric.
It will feature the participation of technicians and players from federations and entities involved in hockey, triathlon, volleyball, chess, paddle tennis, Valencian pilota, judo, karate, wrestling, and handball. Additionally, thanks to the collaboration of El Corte Inglés, there will be face painting and balloon twisting areas for the youngest attendees.
Sports in the Neighborhood, promoted by the Municipal Sports Foundation since 2020, aims to encourage sports practice, promote healthy lifestyles, and showcase the existing sports offerings in the neighborhoods, establishing itself as a popular grassroots sports promotion initiative.
With this session, there have been eight events held this year, following those in Parc Central, Mont-Olivet, Penya-roja, Marxalenes, Benimaclet, Aiora, and Extramurs (Petxina). Another session is also scheduled for October at the Benimàmet Linear Park.
