The city of Valencia will host the European Researchers' Night next Friday, September 25th, with a day full of free scientific activities. The event will take place in the Viveros Gardens, specifically on the esplanade adjacent to the Valencia Museum of Natural Sciences.
Between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, attendees can participate in forty workshops designed for all audiences. The initiative, under the slogan "Valencian science takes to the streets," is supported by nine Valencian institutions, including the University of Valencia, the UPV, the Catholic University of Valencia, the CSIC, the IVIA, the Valencia City Council, Fisabio, INCLIVA, and the FIHGUV.
Among the most notable proposals are activities such as "Your Garden in a Jar," which will allow participants to discover in vitro cultivation; "Guardians of the Genetic Code," where they can extract their own DNA and create a genetic bracelet; and "Measuring Radioactivity," to quantify human emissions.
Other examples include "From Milk to Yogurt: Discovering Good Bacteria," to observe how bacteria transform milk into yogurt and learn to differentiate prebiotic from probiotic foods, and "Invisible Mission: Hunting CO2," to get to know this gas up close.
