September is presented as the ideal month to immerse yourself in the process of transforming grapes into wine. Near Valencia, several wineries offer unique experiences to live the winemaking tradition firsthand.
One of the offerings is the Grape Harvest and Stomping at Vera de Estenas, available from September 1st to October 10th. This activity invites participants to harvest between 10 and 15 kg of grapes per couple, following the traditional method. After the harvest, comes the most fun part: stomping the grapes in old wooden barrels. The experience includes a winery tour, a tasting directly from the vat, and a sampling of three wines accompanied by local cured meats and cheeses. The price is €32 for adults and €15 for children, with reservations available by calling 633 958 670.
The other option is the Harvest Festival at Bodegas Nodus, taking place on September 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. At Finca el Renegado, attendees will enjoy lunch before participating in the harvest. Afterward, a guided tour of the winery will be conducted, followed by a commented tasting of their best wines and vermouth, and an exclusive meal at the 8 Encinas gastro-wine lounge. The day will conclude in a chill-out area with live music and a glass of cava. The price is €75 for adults and €36 for children.
