Investments include the construction of a prefabricated modular building, the installation of new sports flooring, and the renovation of the electronic elevation system for the athletics track's curves to meet international standards.
In recent years, the facility has already undergone other significant upgrades, such as the renovation of LED lighting, improvements in energy efficiency, modernization of interior spaces, and fire protection systems. These interventions aim to enhance the velodrome's functionality, accessibility, and sustainability.
Through these investments, Valencia reaffirms its commitment as the host city for the 2027 European Athletics Championships, consolidating the Palau Velòdrom Lluís Puig as a leading international athletics facility and ensuring the best conditions for hosting major sporting events.
