The Valencia City Council has initiated the tender process for the renovation of the air conditioning equipment at the Palau Velòdrom Lluís Puig, with an investment of 115,963.73 euros.

The council has approved the administrative and technical specifications required for the supply, replacement, and installation of the new systems. The contract will have a duration of three months.
This action is part of a comprehensive improvement plan valued at approximately 1.9 million euros, in preparation for the 2027 European Athletics Indoor Championships. Investments include the construction of a prefabricated modular building, the installation of new sports flooring, and the renovation of the electronic elevation system for the athletics track's curves to meet international standards.
In recent years, the facility has already undergone other significant upgrades, such as the renovation of LED lighting, improvements in energy efficiency, modernization of interior spaces, and fire protection systems. These interventions aim to enhance the velodrome's functionality, accessibility, and sustainability.
Through these investments, Valencia reaffirms its commitment as the host city for the 2027 European Athletics Championships, consolidating the Palau Velòdrom Lluís Puig as a leading international athletics facility and ensuring the best conditions for hosting major sporting events.
