Public institutions have prepared an agenda that includes concerts, exhibitions, congresses, and heritage routes spread across various locations in the city. Among the most notable proposals, Parc Central will host the reenactment of a 13th-century medieval military camp, where the public can learn about daily life, clothing, and the organization of the armies of the time.
The exhibition field will play a central role with displays at the Museu d'Història de València and the MuVIM. In addition, the restoration of the wooden bust of the monarch made by the Vallmitjana brothers in 1886, which is kept in the municipal historical museum, will be carried out.
The central events will take place on July 27, the date marking exactly 750 years since the king's death. The day will include a general ringing of bells, a mass at the Cathedral of Valencia, and a floral offering at the Royal Monastery of Santa María de El Puig.
The program will continue through the autumn with the publication of literary works, a medieval history congress, and activities linked to the 9 d'Octubre celebration, which will include the recovery of the Marxa de la Senyera on horseback during the Civic Procession.
