On September 20th, Valencia will host the World Paella Day celebration at La Marina, becoming a gastronomic epicenter with an international competition and tastings.

Every September 20th, coinciding with the rice harvest, Valencia becomes the world capital of paella. This date is the moment chosen by Valencians to pay homage to their most international dish and share it with the rest of the planet.
The heart of the celebration will be at La Marina, specifically at the Plaça de L’Aigua, next to Tinglado nº2. There, several chefs from around the world will light their stoves to compete in the World Paella Day Cup 2026, the title for the best paella in the world cooked by an international chef.
Attendees can follow the competition live and also taste paella portions at popular prices from the bars set up in Tinglado nº2.
No matter from which corner of the world you visit us, on September 20th the menu is decided: a good plate of paella to celebrate this universal gastronomic gem together! Enjoy!
