The event, which will take place in the Gregori Mayans hall starting at 6:30 PM, is part of the commemoration of the 750th anniversary of the monarch's death. The goal of this initiative is to bring the historical, legal, and institutional legacy that shaped the Valencian territory closer to the public.
The inaugural session will focus on the king's importance in the Valencian political structure. Following the official opening, a lecture on the monarch's death and legacy will be offered, followed by a round table where various experts and official chroniclers will discuss the consequences of the conquests and the formation of local institutions.
The program will continue with a second presentation focusing on the transition from the conquest to the creation of the Comunitat Valenciana, delivered by academic staff from the Universitat de València. The series is supported by the Fòrum Jaume I 2038 and the Diputació de València, and will take place throughout the year with a total of four meetings.
