The future facility, currently undergoing environmental review, will allow for the production, storage, and supply of high-purity hydrogen. The project, promoted by Arcadia Energías Renovables, will be located within the logistics complex the company operates near the Port of Valencia, covering an area of 3,492 square meters.
The plant will operate through water electrolysis using renewable electricity. The service area will be equipped with compression systems, fuel dispensers, and a specific bay for tanker loading. According to the technical report, the design includes safety measures such as firewalls, surveillance systems, and a control room to monitor operations.
This initiative is part of the H2VLC-Valencia Green Hydrogen Valley consortium, an alliance involving entities such as the Valencia City Council, the Valenciaport Foundation, and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The group's goal is to promote the use of renewable energy in land transport and logistics.
