The town of Requena held a massive presentation of its status as Ciudad Española del Vino 2026 at an event held today at L'Umbracle in Valencia.

The event, which was fully booked, brought together nearly a thousand attendees to highlight the winemaking tradition of this municipality, where wine has been produced uninterruptedly for over 2,700 years. The event served to bring the essence of local wines and cavas, as well as its gastronomy, to the Valencian public.
The evening featured the participation of more than thirty wineries and producers, offering a wide representation of reds, whites, and rosés. The culinary offer stood out for its local flavor, with traditional dishes such as Requena bread, ajoarriero, and local sausages, accompanied by high-end catering proposals.
With this action, the municipality continues to develop its calendar of events to consolidate itself as an essential reference for wine tourism in Spain. The ultimate goal is for the quality of its products to win over visitors and strengthen the city's position in the wine sector.
