The sixth edition of REDIT Summit, taking place on October 7th at CaixaForum València, will focus on how technology can anticipate risks, protect infrastructures, and improve response to critical situations.

Technology has become a strategic tool for anticipating risks, protecting people and infrastructures, ensuring essential services, and improving response capacity in critical situations. This premise will guide the sixth edition of REDIT Summit, to be held on October 7th at CaixaForum València, under the theme of Security, Defense, Emergencies, and Aerospace.
Organized by the Network of Technological Institutes of the Valencian Community (REDIT), the event will bring together companies, experts, and representatives from the innovation ecosystem to analyze how research and technological development are contributing to addressing new challenges and strengthening strategic sectors. The day will combine presentations, debates, and real-world innovation cases developed by companies in collaboration with technological institutes.
REDIT Summit has established itself as a meeting point for the Valencian R&D&i ecosystem, with nearly 2,000 accumulated attendees. In this sixth edition, the eleven technological institutes that make up REDIT will be represented through projects and application cases showcasing the diversity of solutions that innovation can offer to challenges related to security, defense, emergencies, and the aerospace field.
One of the main focuses of the event will be the 'Ideas in action' sessions, where companies collaborating with technological institutes will present jointly developed projects and solutions. Among the highlighted applications are AIDIMME's HarWASTing for biomass prediction, AIJU's EmergenConnect for hospital communication management during emergencies, and AINIA's SIDENCA for fire and flood prevention using artificial intelligence.
The protection of people and the development of advanced materials will also be prominent. AIMPLAS will present DISAPPEAR, based on thermoplastic composites for the aeronautical and aerospace sectors, while AITEX will showcase textile innovations like TOMCAT and TOMAHAWK for extreme conditions. Other solutions include FECSA's TERMOCONF for thermal comfort and INESCOP's EXOEPI, an autonomous exoskeleton integrated into footwear for intervention teams.
The resilience of essential resources and infrastructures will be addressed with ITE's RECILION for the recycling of lithium-ion batteries, and a solution from ITI and PAVENER to optimize the management of water pumping facilities powered by solar energy. ITENE will tackle water security with the NIAGARA project to detect contamination in treatment plants.
The event will feature an inaugural presentation by Francisco Casalduero, Programme Manager for Research and Development programs at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS), on European Defense Funds. There will also be a panel discussion on the global repositioning of industry, institutional opening and closing ceremonies, and participation from Jorge Navarro Pérez of ECOAR.
REDIT Summit 2026 is supported by its main partners: the Conselleria de Industria, Turismo, Innovación y Comercio, the Ajuntament de València, València Innovation Capital, and Caixa Popular, with the collaboration of Fundación “la Caixa”. Registration is now open via the official website.
