Puçol, declared an official observation point for the August 12th solar eclipse, is preparing to offer a unique experience for attendees, combining the astronomical event with leisure and safety.

The town of Puçol, just over 25 minutes from Valencia, has been designated an official observation point for the solar eclipse on August 12th. The City Council has organized a special plan to ensure a safe and complete experience for visitors choosing this location to witness the astronomical phenomenon.
The beach area, specifically Plaça Rosa dels Vents, will be the main stage, with a capacity for 1,000 people. In addition to the observation area, the space will host Solmarket, an open-air leisure fair featuring gastronomic offerings from various food trucks, concerts, DJ sets, workshops, and children's activities. Access to Solmarket will be free and it will remain open during the eclipse.
To facilitate visitor access, the council will provide three parking areas and a free bus service from the town center to the beach. 5,000 certified glasses for proper observation of the phenomenon will be distributed, two per person, at strategic points such as the town hall, the tourist office, and the sports center.
Security will be a priority, with an increased presence of the Local Police, the municipal brigade, and Civil Protection volunteers. The Guardia Civil de Tráfico will also be present to manage traffic on the V-21. To prevent fire risks, the Costera natural park will be closed on the day of the event.
The day before the eclipse, a free astronomical workshop has been organized at the Voramar space, where details of this phenomenon, visible in l'Horta for the first time in over a century, will be explained.
