Metrovalencia: 8.3 Million Users in September, a 15% Increase

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) recorded 8,329,146 users on Metrovalencia during September, representing a 15.10% increase compared to the same period last year. The busiest day was Tuesday the 22nd, Car-Free Day, with 363,830 passengers.

The six metro lines accounted for a total of 7,139,638 journeys, while the four tram lines achieved 1,189,508 movements. Combined, Metrovalencia and TRAM of Alicante saw FGV register 10,068,923 passengers in September.
Line 3 (Rafelbunyol/Aeroport) was the most used metro line, with 1,632,073 customers. It was followed by Line 5 (Marítim/Aeroport) with 1,264,421 users, Line 1 (Bétera-Castelló) with 1,204,597, Line 2 (Llíria-Torrent Avinguda) with 1,132,824, Line 9 (Alboraia Peris Aragó-Riba-roja de Túria) with 961,489, and Line 7 (Marítim/Torrent Avinguda) with 944,234.
Regarding the tram, Line 4 (Mas del Rosari-Doctor Lluch) led the number of movements with 622,711 trips. It was followed by Line 6 (Tossal del Rei-Marítim) with 279,391, Line 10 (Alicante-Natzaret) with 257,961, and Line 8 (Neptú-Marítim) with 29,445 passengers.
In terms of station traffic, Xàtiva (L3, L5, and L9) ranked first with 501,508 journeys. Second was Colón (L3, L5, L7, and L9) with 428,870, and third was Àngel Guimerà (L1, L2, L3, L5, and L9) with 312,427 movements.
Other stations with significant traffic volume include Plaça Espanya (L1 and L2) with 265,726 users, Benimaclet (L3 and L9) with 197,048, Mislata (L3, L5, and L9) with 192,471, Torrent Avinguda (L2 and L7) with 188,752, Túria (L1 and L2) with 188,172, and Avinguda del Cid (L3, L5, and L9) with 186,703 validations.
Within the metropolitan area, the five busiest stations were Mislata (192,471 users), Torrent Avinguda (188,752), Paiporta (L1, L2, and L7) with 150,160, Aeroport (L3 and L5) with 144,076, and Torrent (L1, L2, and L7) with 125,991 movements.
Among the tram stops, La Carrasca (L4 and L6) stood out with 111,605 users, followed by Pont de Fusta (L4) with 78,396, Benimaclet (L4 and L6) with 71,165, La Cadena (L4 and L6) with 62,845, and Vicent Zaragozá (L4 and L6) with 60,558.
