Manises is once again opening the doors of its craft centers, shops, and workshops for «Ceràmica Oberta», an event designed to highlight its ceramic traditions. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the artistry behind each piece and witness the creative process firsthand, from raw material to the final product.
Throughout the day, attendees can participate in workshops, marvel at demonstrations of techniques such as wheel throwing, raku, and porcelain, and purchase jewelry, tableware, and decorative items crafted by master artisans. The event encourages participants to shape their own creativity.
The program includes free admission workshops held in the morning (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and afternoon (5:00 PM to 8:00 PM). At AVEC Gremio, participants can create porcelain flowers or 'socarrats' (crusty rice base), learn sculpture through modeling, craft ceramic wicker pieces, or decorate tiles, all guided by experts. Children's modeling workshops will also be available.
At Aliarte, attendees can bring their own ceramic piece to life with the assistance of Alicia. Additionally, various workshops will open their doors to showcase masters at work. ANPEC will feature demonstrations of wheel throwing, microwave jewelry firing, and magnet painting. Cerámicas Pepe Royo will also present wheel throwing exhibitions, and La Botiga de Gema will demonstrate cold tile painting.
Other venues, including Arts Ceramics with Ana Palés, sculptor Maribel Martínez, and Drac Cerámico, will showcase their creation processes and offer live demonstrations. Casa Mayolica and Cerámicas Palanca will also open their doors to visitors.
