Contributory pensions in the Comunitat Valenciana rise by 4.8% in average amount

The system records more than one million benefits paid during the month of July in the Valencian territory.

The Social Security has managed a total of 1,082,927 contributory pensions in the Comunitat Valenciana during the month of July, representing a year-on-year increase of 1.74% in the number of benefits.

According to official data published by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, the average pension amount in the region stood at 1,270.98 euros, experiencing a growth of 4.80% compared to the previous year. These figures mean that the volume of Valencian benefits represents 10.30% of the national total.
The system has 975,694 pensioners in the Comunitat Valenciana. Of the total benefits, the majority correspond to retirement, with 692,726 cases and an average of 1,449.79 euros. This is followed by widowhood pensions, with 245,819 beneficiaries, and permanent disability pensions, which total 104,797 benefits.
On the other hand, 22.5% of pensions in the region receive minimum supplements. By province, Alicante records 25.2%, Castellón 20.4%, and Valencia 21.3%. Likewise, 172,377 people receive supplements for the reduction of the gender gap, with an average amount of 75 euros.
